The 5th Summer Lawn Concert in Lavenderland

July 16, 2025

In 2025, we gathered at Lavenderland with friends, families, and neighbours to share an afternoon of music and connection. Our annual Summer Lawn Concert filled the garden with laughter, melodies, and the gentle scent of lavender in the air.

With everyone’s generosity and support, we raised over $4,600 to help improve healthcare programs in Richmond through the Richmond Hospital Foundation.

We’re truly thankful to everyone who made this day possible — from our volunteers and performers to every guest who came to listen and give. Your support reminds us that small efforts, when shared together, can grow into something meaningful for our community

The 4th Summer Lawn Concert in West Point Grey Community Centre

June 21, 2024

In 2024, we continued to share our love for music and our commitment to giving back. Our Summer Lawn Concert at West Point Grey Community Centre raised $4,400 in support of the Richmond Hospital Foundation.

As a group of student volunteers, we’re proud to see how this event has become a way for our community to come together — to listen, to give, and to make a difference. Each note we played carried our gratitude and hope for a healthier, more connected community.

We’re thankful to everyone who supported us, through donations, applause, or simply by being there. Your encouragement keeps our music and mission alive.

The 3rd Summer Lawn Concert in Southland Heritage Farm

September 1, 2023

On September 1, 2023, we gathered at Southland Heritage Farm for a joyful afternoon of music and community. This was our third annual Summer Lawn Concert, and we were joined by friends who love music and care about giving back.

By September 13, the concert had raised $4,375 CAD in support of the Richmond Hospital Foundation, helping the hospital improve facilities and better serve the community.

Every small contribution from volunteers, performers, and guests reminded us that even the tiniest acts of care can come together to create something much bigger. Together, we turned a simple afternoon into a meaningful way to share love and support within our community.

The 2nd Summer Lawn Concert in Richmond City Square

August 27, 2022

In the summer of 2022, our group, Bittersweet Lemonade Association, joined forces with Firefly Youth Network to host a joyful and meaningful summer concert. With support from local businesses and community members, we were able to raise $7,500 CAD for the Richmond Hospital Foundation’s “Life in Three” campaign.

The funds helped purchase a range of urgently needed diagnostic equipment for the hospital’s heart, lung, and neurology specialists, allowing them to provide faster and more accurate care for patients.

By organizing this event, we gained valuable insights into teamwork, community service, and the impact that young people can have when united for a common cause. Knowing that our efforts helped strengthen local healthcare made everyone involved feel proud and motivated to continue making a difference.

The 1st Summer Lawn Concert in Southland Heritage Farm

In 2021, we held our very first Summer Lawn Concert at Southland Heritage Farm, bringing together friends and volunteers to share music and community spirit.

Through everyone’s support, we were able to raise $951.38 CAD for the Indian Residential School Survivors Society, contributing to their important work in supporting survivors and raising awareness.

This first concert taught us a lot about teamwork, organizing events, and the impact that even a small group of dedicated young people can have. It was a meaningful start to our journey, showing us the power of music to bring people together and make a difference.
